What is RGM?

Ronnie Gardiner Method

What is RGM?

RGM (Ronnie Gardiner Method) is an approach that stimulates the brain through movement, combining rhythm, coordination and cognition.

Through structured, dynamic and engaging exercises, it activates multiple brain functions — memory, attention, coordination — promoting focus, well-being and performance.

It is accessible, motivating and adaptable to different ages and contexts, offering a positive experience that connects body and mind.

How the Method Works

How the Method Works

The RGM method combines music, movement and speech to stimulate the brain globally. Participants perform movements associated with symbols, saying their names out loud, activating both the body and multiple cognitive functions.

It can be practiced seated or standing, adapting to different abilities, with the goal of improving memory, attention, coordination and language in a dynamic, accessible way.

The neurological power

Ronnie Gardiner Method

The neurological power

The true neurological power of the method lies in its deliberate coding:

1. Four Elements. Simultaneous Activation.

Every exercise invites participants to engage four pathways at the exact same fraction of a second:

👁️ See — recognise specially developed visual symbols.

👂 Listen — follow rhythm and musical patterns.

🕺🏼 Move — coordinate hands, feet and whole-body movements.

🗣 Speak — say the corresponding sound codes while moving.

This simultaneous activation creates a highly engaging learning experience, where the body and brain work together, not independently.

2. Visual Language of Colours & Side Command

The exercises display unique red and blue symbols, projected on screen following a steady beat:

🔴 Red symbols initiate movements on the left side of the body.

🔵 Blue symbols initiate movements on the right side of the body.

🔴🔵 Symbols with both colors move both sides of the body.

3. The Hemispheric Crossover

This intentional colour inversion forces a hemispheric crossover within the brain (as the left hemisphere controls the right side of the body, and vice versa). This structured challenge actively drives communication between both brain hemispheres through the corpus callosum, engaging the brain's natural neuroplasticity.

Practical Benefits

Practical Benefits

The simultaneous multisensory stimulation of RGM is associated with positive impacts on daily life, professional performance and rehabilitation support. The key areas include:

Focus & Concentration — supports sustained attention span, making it easier to direct mental energy toward complex tasks.

Memory & Cognitive Speed — engages working memory and executive functions, and may support how efficiently the brain processes and retains new information.

Coordination & Physical Balance — strengthens bilateral integration and motor control, supporting spatial awareness and physical stability.

Reduced Stress & Mental Fatigue — associated with lower cognitive overload, contributing to daily energy, motivation and well-being.

Guided Sessions. Continuous Practice.

Guided Sessions. Continuous Practice.

Professional sessions create the starting point. The Iberbrain Platform helps transform those experiences into a consistent habit.

Guided Sessions — take part in sessions led by Certified Practitioner Susana Coutinho, in person, online, or through structured video-guided modules.

Independent Practice — continue practising through your private Iberbrain dashboard.

Visible Progress — return to future sessions with greater confidence, as your practice becomes consistent over time.

Independent Discovery & Self-Correction

Ronnie Gardiner Method

Independent Discovery & Self-Correction

One of the strongest learning principles behind the Iberbrain experience is self-correction. Instead of relying on constant external correction, participants learn to recognise and adjust their own movements using visual guidance, rhythm, and the Platform's built-in metronome.

The brain learns best when it discovers the mistake itself.

Who is it for

The same multisensory approach adapts to different environments, while respecting the specific goals of each audience.
